OHA-eduTrax
Billing, coding, compliance and reimbursement can be the Achilles' heel of even the best health care facility. Poor documentation, new mandates, undertrained staff, CMS rule changes and improper coding can cause organizations to miss out on available reimbursement or face legal issues and large fines. Without proper training, ICD-10 could make these challenges even harder. OHA's Center for Education has partnered with eduTrax to offer a robust line of services aimed at improving revenue cycle for health care providers. www.oha-edutrax.org
A simple plan
A subscription through OHA gives your staff 24/7 web access to all of the time- and money-saving services eduTrax offers, including revenue cycle information, webinars, courses, news feeds and online support. The eduTrax coding, billing and revenue professionals search CMS for those hard-to-find rulings and then track the changes, saving you time and helping your staff get the most out of your billing.

What Hospitals Are Saying
The top 3 benefits I recognized was 1) having everything in one place. I could go from e-courses to looking up something from Medicare with just a couple of clicks 2) Ability to find things from CMS in a logical manner 3.) Coding webinars

The top three benefits that we identified were:
1) The Documentation Assistant for the new RAC issues. I feel this would be a great benefit for our inpatient coding staff as well as our Clinical Documentation Improvement program.
2) The website links are very user friendly and I believe that this promotes more use of these websites to research information.
3) The online courses are a great benefit since our coding staff works from home remotely. This reduces travel time and gives the ability to stagger the appointment times for coders to become educated without completely disrupting the coding flow. I would have the ability to schedule 1-2 coders to complete the course from home on any given day, while have the rest of the coding staff continues with the workflow. This would help to preserve coding time since travel would not be an issue.
Some other comments I would like to include are that I feel that the site is VERY user friendly. It is not difficult to navigate and I could see some of the coders even using this for “extra” personal education on their own time.
