OHA Member Hospital Profiles
Each year the hospital has nearly 8,000 inpatient admissions and provides 200,000-outpatient clinic and more than 24,000 emergency department visits. The high census, rapid turnover of patients, and diversity of diseases and injuries, make the hospital an excellent learning environment for students and residents, as well as high quality specialty patient care. As a Level 1-Trauma Center designated by the American College of Surgeons, University Medical Center treats some of the most critically injured trauma patients in the region. The hospital has recently renovated and doubled the size of its Emergency Department. The University Medical Center and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center jointly operate Life Flight, an air-ambulance service. Employment Information:
