Q: How do I register for the OHA Recognition Dinner? A: Complete the registration form in the OHA Annual Meeting program.
Q: Can I register and pay for more than one person at a time? A: Yes. Complete Step 6 of the registration form in the OHA Annual Meeting program. OHA will accept one check or credit card charge for multiple attendees. Payment is required at the time of registration.
Q: Is there a separate registration form for the OHA Recognition Dinner and the OHA Annual Meeting? A: No. Individuals can register for one or both events by completing the registration form in the OHA Annual Meeting program.
Q: Can I attend the OHA Recognition Dinner if I don’t attend the OHA Annual Meeting? A: Yes.
Q: Will I receive confirmation of my registration from OHA? A: No. The high volume of registrants is prohibitive.
Q: Once registered, will I receive my ticket in the mail prior to the dinner? A: No. All tickets are available for pick-up at the registration booth in Regent Ballroom 3 in the north corridor. Tickets are organized by hospital. One representative from a hospital may pick up all tickets for that hospital.
Q: When and where is the Welcome Reception? A: The Welcome Reception is from 5-6 p.m. at the Hilton Columbus at Easton in the Corporate Partner Concourse just outside the Grand Ballroom. The cash bar is not included with the general dinner fee and is at an additional cost. Each nominee for the Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award and all Health Care Leadership Award recipients will receive a coupon good for one complimentary drink at the Welcome Reception in their special recognition materials, available at the registration booth.
Q: Is there a limit on the number of guests per hospital? A: No. Please note the tables are set in rounds of 10.
Q: Can my hospital request reserved seating? A: Yes. Groups of 8 or more may request reserved seating in Step 5 of the registration form in the OHA Annual Meeting program. Tables are set in rounds of 10. Tables may be reserved by hospital or by health system. Reserved seating is not guaranteed for registrations received after May 27, 2008.
Q: If I don’t reserve a table by May 27, will I have a reserved seat? A: NO. Unless you reserve seating with a group of 8 or more, seating will be first come, first served once the doors to the Grand Ballroom open at 5:45 p.m.
Q: What time do the doors open? A: Doors to the Grand Ballroom open at 5:45 p.m. All guests are asked to remain outside the ballroom until that time.
Q: How many people sit at a table? A: Each table is set for 10.
Q: Does our hospital's nominee for Health Care Worker of the Year sit at our table? A: Yes. Typically, the nominee, co-workers, friends and family share a table or tables if the group exceeds 10.
Q: If my hospital fills a table of 10, is there a discount? A: No. The cost to attend for each individual is $65.
Q: What overnight accommodations are available? A: OHA Recognition Dinner and Annual Meeting guests may reserve a room at the Hilton Columbus at Easton by calling 614.414.5000 or visiting Hilton Reservations. The blocked room rate of $179 for a single or double is available until May 17, 2008 at midnight. Because blocked rooms book up fast, early reservations are recommended. Q: What parking is available? A: A Hilton parking garage is free of charge. This facility is immediately adjacent to the north entrance of the Hilton for convenient access to registration and meeting rooms. Free parking is also available in the two Easton garages and surface lots west of the hotel. All parking at Easton is free with the exception of metered on-street parking.
Q: Can I request a vegetarian meal? A: Yes. Please request a vegetarian meal from your server.
Q: What is the dress code at the OHA Recognition Dinner? A: Business/business casual.
Q: Are video and digital cameras allowed? A: Yes. However the professional photographer and videographer have first priority for photo opportunities.
Q: Do nominees for the Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award receive any special items at the event? A: Yes! Nominees should pick up their special recognition packet at the registration booth in Regent Ballroom 3 in the north corridor, which includes a coupon for a complimentary drink during the Welcome Reception and other items of recognition.
