OHA - The Ohio Hospital Association

2008 Hospital Safety Award Recipients

For 55 years, the OHA Statewide Hospital Safety Campaign has recognized successful hospital safety programs and superior employee safety records. The safety awards were created in 1953 by the Ohio Hospital Association and the Industrial Commission of Ohio to promote workplace safety.

This year's 59 participating hospitals were divided into groups based on number of employees. The hospital with the lowest injury rate in each group is being honored. Also honored are those hospitals in the top 20 percent overall. The final recognition, the Outstanding Progress Award, goes to one hospital with the most improved injury rate from last year's campaign. The awards will be presented at the OHA Annual Meeting Welcome & Keynote Address June 9, 2008.
