Free Exams for Women in Need
MetroHealth Cancer Center began the B.R.E.A.S.T. outreach program in 2005 to improve the breast health of minority and underserved women over age 35. During its first year, the program provided free breast exams and mammograms to more than 300 women who normally would not access medical care.  Over 1,000 women were educated on the importance of self-exams, annual clinical exams and mammograms in the early detections of breast cancer.
