CSR Biographies The three CSR regional representatives provide consulting and educational services to participating Ohio CSR hospitals. They do not survey any Ohio CSR hospitals but actively survey for JCAHO. Jane R. Schetter,

Representative
Carol Abbey, R.N.,
B.S.N. Abbey most recently
served as corporate clinical director at Heritage Health Care Services,
Inc., Toledo, Ohio. She continues to practice nursing in the acute care and
long term care setting. In the past, she has served as quality liaison with
a national pharmaceutical company and quality, education and compliance
manager with a large hospital-based home care agency. Other work experiences
include acute care in medical/surgical and trauma services.
Carol has also presented nationally for JCAHO Department of Education
programs and at the National Association for Home Care Convention. Abbey has also held
adjunct faculty positions at the Medical College of Ohio and Lourdes College
and has served as preceptors for students from Lourdes College, Graceland
College and Medical College of Ohio. Abbey is affiliated with
Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society. Abbey has been a Joint Commission surveyor since July 1992 and is trained under the Accreditation Manual for Home Care, Network Components and Integrated Survey Process for Hospitals, Long Term Care, Behavioral Health and Home Care. She continues to serve as both a home care surveyor and an integrated surveyor.
Pat Musgrave, RN, MSA Jane R. Schetter, R.N.,
M.S.N., C.P.C.S. Prior to joining the Joint Commission, Schetter was vice president of patient care and standards at Fostoria Community Hospital in Fostoria, Ohio. She assisted in the development and piloting of the JCAHO integrated survey process for small and rural hospitals, evaluating compliance with the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals (CAMH), the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Home Care (CAMHC), and the Comprehensive Manual for Long Term Care (CAMLTC). Schetter conducted research regarding the effects of home health care on the rehospitalization rates of the chronically ill elderly, and in caseload and workload analysis for projecting staffing needs in home health care. She is also certified as a provider credentialing specialist. Schetter holds an adjunct faculty position at the Medical College of Ohio and has served as preceptor for both graduate and undergraduate students from Lourdes College, Graceland College, and Medical College of Ohio. Schetter is affiliated with the American Hospital Association (Section for Aging and Long-Term Care), American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Executives of Northwest Ohio, National Association for Home Care, Hospice Association of America, Sigma Theta Tau, and the American Nurse Association.
