provide has become the standard for our entire organization. Valet
parking is a new venture for Lake Hospital System, and I can say it has
been a resounding success to date. I believe we owe much of this
success to choosing a quality vendor such as Parking Solutions.”

Hospital System, Inc., Painesville
Free Program Helps Hospitals Develop Palliative-Care Services
For hospitals seeking to implement or improve their palliative care
services, a free program provides a unique opportunity to learn
best-practices from organizations with exemplary palliative-care
services. The Hospital-Based Palliative Care Consortium (HBPCC) helps
hospitals develop palliative-care services through interactions with
organizations committed to high quality end-of-life and palliative
care. The no-fee program is funded by a grant from the Agency for
Healthcare Research and Quality and the location of Learning Labs
throughout the U.S. minimizes travel costs.
The
one-day site visits are customized to meet a hospital’s specific
palliative-care goals. Participants observe a successful program and
learn how to transfer that information to their organization. As
participants implement palliative-care programs in their own hospitals, HBPCC support continues via a
Web site, customized tools and networking
among participating hospitals, Learning Labs, and HBPCC staff.
