Step 1 – Create a
plan for managing job postings
Hospitals and health systems can manage job postings by department
or by using their human resources department as the primary
administrator and setting individual accounts and permissions for other
departments. The primary administrator, who receives training from OHA,
can grant permissions to other staff members based on how your
hospital/health system prefers to manage the job listings. Staff members
can have full administrator rights, editor rights, view rights or
posting rights—or any combination of these. Add new users and change
permissions under “My Account” then “Manage Users.” Health systems can
manage job listings for multiple facilities by adding facilities under
“My Account” then “Manage Facilities.”
Step 2 – Decide the
best method for posting jobs
OHHealthJobs.net allows users to enter detailed job descriptions, skill
sets, shift and salary information (if desired) and then preview or edit
the information before posting and making available to jobseekers.
Hospitals/health systems can use a standards HR contact for more
information on all jobs or designate specific contact people for
different positions. You can also use your own job codes, set jobs to
“expire” from the site automatically when the position closes or flag
jobs as “urgent.” You can also opt to upload job listings from an
existing system at the hospital/health system. To learn more about this
option, contact OHA.
Step 3 – Create an
employer profile
Showcase your organization by creating a Company Profile—tell job
seekers about your facility, display your
logo and include a link to your Web site. Create and edit profiles under
“My Account” then “Edit Profiles.” You can also post calendar
information such as local job fairs to give job seekers an opportunity
to learn about career opportunities in your area under “My Account” then
“Manage Upcoming Events.”
Step 4 – Post Jobs
Log in using your name and password Explore the many options for
posting and managing job listing under “My Jobs.”
Step 5 – Search
Resumes, Manage Job Candidates
Once job seekers begin registering with OHHealthJobs.net, you can
the resume database for candidates based on a skill set, experience or
any other keyword. When a potential employee is found, you can add his
or her resume to your Candidate Pool. Job seekers who respond to posted
positions are automatically added to your Respondent Pool. You also have
the option to delete job seekers for your candidate pool at any time, or
forward their resume information to a colleague. Search job seekers and
explore candidate and facility pools under “Job Seekers.”
