grants to hospitals which promote healthy lifestyles in the communities
they serve.

Ohio Hospitals Using Tobacco Funds
to Improve Quality of Life
Sixteen hospitals throughout Ohio are receiving a combined total of
$240,000 in grants to assist persons suffering from chronic pulmonary
disease. The Foundation for
Healthy Communities, a charitable arm of the Ohio Hospital Association,
approved $15,000 grants for
existing pulmonary rehabilitation programs at each of the 16 large and
small institutions throughout the state.

Ohio Patients Get Help for Safe Medication Use
Patients and their families across Ohio have help in using medications
more safely through an information distribution campaign by hospitals,
physicians and pharmacists throughout Ohio. The campaign is being kicked
off as part of National Patient Recognition Week, February 1-7.
