OHA - The Ohio Hospital Association

OSHPM
Ohio Society of Hospital Planning & Marketing

Purpose and Objectives
The Ohio Society for Hospital Planning & Marketing is committed to the principle that hospital planning and marketing are critical management processes which guide
hospitals in serving their communities - from an examination of strengths and weaknesses and the development of a statement of mission, to the marketing and delivery of services consistent with that mission.

OSHPM provides services and programs that enable members to integrate strategic planning and marketing concepts and techniques into their hospital's overall management.

The practices of planning and marketing require unique technical skills in the areas of data analysis, facility planning, forecasting, market research, product/service development, market communications and program budgeting.  Planning and marketing also require integrative skills, particularly the ability to synthesize diverse expectations and viewpoints from outside and within the hospital to achieve organizational goals.

OSHPM is committed to providing its membership with the necessary "hands-on" tools needed to conduct and enhance the practice of hospital strategic planning and marketing.
